Abstract

This collection consists of photographs taken by Baltimore Sun photographer Richard Childress. Childress worked at the Sun from 1961 until his death in 1984. He covered virtually everything newsworthy for the paper over his more than two decade career: protests, sports, social and cultural events, politics, automobile accidents, house fires, fairs, festivals, and parades, military events, and more.

Abstract This collection contains over 6,000 photographs taken by Robert Kniesche over the course of his career as a professional photographer, primarily with The Baltimore Sun newspaper.
